Cantu Beauty’s Deep Conditioning Oil Sheen Spray

One of the things I worry about the most while protective styling is how dry my natural hair will be when I take my style down. In the past, I’ve experienced serious dryness with my hair after braids, especially last year when I returned from my trip to Cote d’Ivoire. My hair was so dry that I thought it was damaged and would never recover. With the help of Carol’s Daughter’s Black Vanilla Sulfate Free Shampoo + Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk Cleansing Conditioner, I was able to restore moisture to my crown. But we are not here to talk about Carol’s Daughter today.

Why wait until you take your protective style down to restore moisture to your strands when you can do it on a daily basis while wearing your style?

IMG_6286.JPGIf you can relate to this issue, you need to purchase Cantu Beauty’s Deep Conditioning Oil Sheen. I really had to wait to take my Senegalese Twists down to see whether this oil sheen really worked. This product not only moisturized my hair with its deep penetrating oil but it also added shine to my twists. I sprayed it all over my scalp and braids, EVERY MORNING, RELIGIOUSLY.

When I took my twists down, I noticed that my hair was still full with lots of volume versus weighed down and brittle from the lack of moisture.

Not only did it help with moisture but it left my braids and hair smelling good like a fresh do lol!

With an ingredient like Shea Butter, I thought I would not experience any flaking on my scalp but I did. However, please note that my hair itself, after take down, was not as dry as it usually is post- protective styling. Hope that makes sense.

Let’s take a look at going from Senegalese Twists, to taking hair down, to shampoo, deep conditioning and styling results.
